This is now my 21st year here in Barnegat, and my 23rd year of teaching overall! I spent seventeen years at Brackman, teaching sixth and seventh grade Social Studies before moving to fifth grade ELA and Social Studies after the reconfiguration. I am looking forward to a new school year, working with you as a team in order to help your child transition successfully into our school. Sharing my love of reading and writing with your child and encouraging discussion, self-expression, and reflection are all important aspects of our ELA classroom. In terms of Social Studies, teaching the students about the foundation our great nation was built upon is exciting--I hope to transfer that enthusiasm about history and civics to the kids throughout the year through both individual and small group activities and assignments.
