Brief BIO about Mrs. Natalie Altonjy

Mrs. Natalie Altonjy is proud to be the Vocal Director at Barnegat High School, entering her seventeenth year. In addition to teaching Chorus and Select Choir, Mrs. Altonjy also teaches intro to film, intro to music, and 20th century music. She is also the Chorus Club Adviser, and the Vocal Director for the HS Musicals. Mrs. Altonjy has earned her bachelor's degree in Vocal concentration from William Paterson University, NJ. She then went on to attend The American Musical & Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in NYC, to further her education.

Mrs. Altonjy is the Director of the extremely talented Barnegat HS award winning Select Choir (SC) & Chorus (C). Here are just a few notable accomplishments: SC performed in the “Christmas Spectacular” at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey; (SC) performed “Handel's Messiah” with the Stockton University Choir at the Borgata, in Atlantic City, New Jersey; SC continues to be featured on WOBM 92.7 Christmas Choir Contest; SC performed and competed in The Ocean County performing Arts "Salute to Ocean County, A Celebration of Arts & Heritage”, placing 1st runner-up; SC & C continue to compete in the choral competition “Music in the Parks", where they continue to make great strides ~ in 2016, both the SC & C made history by winning 1st & 2nd place in their division! Some additional past noteworthy accomplishments include SC singing the National Anthem at both the Philadelphia Phillies & NJ Blue Claws Baseball games.

Mrs. Altonjy has a devoted, committed and respected passion for the fine arts - as she quotes: "I am passionate about music and teaching, therefore sharing my knowledge of music comes with rewarding gratification… I'm honored and privileged to be an integral member of our fine arts program here at Barnegat High School… I'm extremely satisfied and proud of all my students here in Barnegat Township, present & past”.
